Things to do

Kensington is renowned for its immaculate suburbs, luxury restaurants, antiques, museums and grand houses. The grandest building however, is none other than Kensington Palace. The state rooms and gardens are open to the public, a must-see trip if you wish to discover the birthplace and childhood of Queen Victoria.

If you wish to journey back to times long before Queen Victoria however, then look no further than the National History Museum. This building exhibits a large range of creatures and specimens that existed on Earth many millions of years ago, with the museum particularly renowned for its dinosaur skeleton displays.

For tennis fans you couldn't be much closer to the famous Queens Club, which hosts many world famous championships. For shoppers, Kensington High Street offers fantastic boutique stores whilst the antique shops on the nearby Kensington Church Street are great for window shopping. Alternatively, head to Notting Hill and Portobello Road markets for your London shopping, or even the Westfield shopping centre, also nearby.

Tube connections at Barons Court for District and Piccadilly lines provide easy access to Heathrow and the West End.
